A new health insurance company called the Nevada Health CO-OP is allowing “OFF Exchange Enrollments” with no waiting period.  Nevada residents can purchase Health Insurance “OFF” the Exchange after 3/31/2014 with NO waiting period.

These plans will NOT be subsidized.

Typically there is a 90 day waiting period until your insurance coverage will be effective. For example, if you sign up for a plan on April 1, 2014 your health insurance will not be effective for another 90 days.

Also, after 3/31/2014 you will not be able to buy a health insurance plan that has a Government “subsidy” until 11/15/2014 (that plan and subsidy will go into effect 1/1/2015).

At Nevada Insurance Enrollment, we understand this information can be confusing; please call us today and we will happily assist you in securing health insurance coverage and answer any questions that you may have.

Update:

Nevada Health CO-OP closed it’s doors at the end of 2015.
