Double check that your DOCTOR will accept your new health insurance.

If you are enrolling into a Nevada Health COOP plan specifically because your provider (your doctor) is on the Nevada Health Link website (and it shows that your doctor will take your plan); we HIGHLY recommend you double check that your physician will take the Nevada Health COOP plan you are enrolling into.

In other words, even though the Nevada Health Link states your doctor will accept your plan, you should still call your doctor and verify. In addition, when you talk to the doctors office, you must ask if your specific doctor accepts your plan because some doctors, even in the same office, may or may not accept the same plans.

You can check the Nevada Health COOP Network before settling on a plan. This rule should apply to any plan you enroll into.

Update:

Nevada Health CO-OP closed it’s doors at the end of 2015.
